This cap replaces Ariel part number 3341-52 (commonly incorrectly labeled 3342-31 on Ariel parts diagrams - that is the number for the cap on the earlier CP/BA boxes). Will fit all Ariel Red Hunter big singles, twins and square fours from 1952 onwards.

The Burman GB gearbox/transmission was also used by the following classic motorcycle during the 1950s:

• Ariel
• AJS (commonly known as the B52 - which is the Burman code for Feb '52 when it was first used)
• Matchless
• Panther
• Vincent Comet
• Mustang

This cap should fit all of these machines.

This cap is machined from solid Fortal aluminum alloy bar stock and polished. The original caps are cast and do not polish well.

The hex is 3/4". Many original caps have a large slot, long since chewed.

This part will shine up this very visible part of your machine.

The cap has been tested on my own gearbox for fit and clearance.
